As the weather changes, so should your skincare routine. Fall is here, which means drier, cooler weather. Our skin is losing its color, moisture, and bounce—and we need help STAT! In this episode, I dive into 5 strategies for fall skincare.

But before we get into the good stuff, we need to talk about the bad stuff. Conventional skincare is rampant with endocrine disrupting chemicals that wreak havoc on hormones. When our hormones are out of balance, we can struggle with breakouts, dull skin, dark under eyes, inflammation, and more. It’s important to make sure you are using clean and natural botanicals on your precious skin. I know that organic skin care can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Keep reading to learn economical and effective alternatives.

The first strategy for healthy skin during the fall is exfoliation. Exfoliation is great for skin cell turnover and removing dead skin to reveal your glow! It’s also fabulous for keeping skin clear and reducing breakouts. I personally love to alternate between scrubs and enzyme based exfoliants. Next up, hydration. Paying close attention to hydration, inside and out, is essential for healthy skin—especially in the dry and cool fall. Take note of your urine color, how your skin looks and feels, and how much water you’re drinking. You should be drinking half of your body weight in ounces of water per day. In this episode, I talk about my favorite way to hydrate myself with our new Hydration Superfood Energy supplement. Shop the delicious powder below!

I also dive into the oil cleansing method. Fall is the best time to try this strategy! Skin is drying during the fall and incorporating nutrient rich oils into your daily skincare routine can foster profound results. The oil cleansing method is as simple as it sounds: you’re cleaning your face with oils. This method is based on the premise of “like dissolves like,” which means that people with oily skin can benefit.

Drinking bone broth can also work wonders for skin health during the fall. Here’s the deal: the gut is the gateway to gorgeous skin. Supporting your gut with bone broth will lay the foundation for skin to radiate beauty from the inside out. Bone broth can help ease wrinkles, fine lines, and inflammation that lead to common skin problems. Check out our favorite recipe below.

Lastly, collagen is key. As we age, our collagen production slows down. During the fall, it’s essential for us to prevent collagen loss and support new collagen production. The best way to do this is with an internal collagen supplement. I love our new Beauty Collagen Complex supplement. The delicious Vanilla Honey flavor and collagen boosting ingredients make a skincare routine easy and effective.
