Do you ask yourself these questions: “Why do I feel so tired when I wake up? How do you fix adrenal fatigue?” — then this is a must-listen.

In this episode, Erica is diving into the 3 things that no one is saying about adrenal fatigue—and how this is inhibiting you from healing.

If you have been struggling with adrenal fatigue, you know how hard it can be to get help. One of the reasons for this is that our traditional health care system is not set up to help people with this. In fact, doctors aren’t even taught about this in medical school. They tend to look at the adrenals as either functioning or completely failing (Addison’s disease). If the adrenals aren’t failing but aren’t working optimally, conventional medicine doesn’t know what to do. At best, they tell you it’s all in your head and give you a prescription for anxiety. Has that happened to you?

Another reason why adrenal fatigue is a struggle is that our culture glorifies a way of life that promotes being busy or “productive” all the time without prioritizing rest. Our culture has normalized many of the signs and symptoms of adrenal fatigue, which sometimes causes people to ignore their symptoms. Have you been drinking 3 cups of coffee per day just to get through the day?

3 Things That Go Unsaid About Adrenal Fatigue

  1.  It screws up your hormones: our adrenals are responsible for regulating not only stress hormones but also sex hormones. If those are out of whack because of adrenal fatigue, your whole body will experience issues.
  2. It robs you of joy: when you show up in life with little to no energy, you’re more irritable, easily frustrated, easily overwhelmed, and overall not the best version of yourself.
  3. It costs a lot of money: chronic stress and chronic poor sleep are not only the driving factors of adrenal fatigue but many other diseases like cognitive issues, diabetes, heart disease etc. The cost of being tired and not living your most authentic, energized, and joyous life has unseen costs, but other diseases are also expensive and can really take a toll on your bank account.
