If you’re on the hunt for the perfect essential oil brand for you or you’re looking to learn more about Lagunamoon essential oils, then you’ve come to the right place. I know how hard it can be sorting through all the long blog posts and big companies claiming to know the best essential oils brand. But the truth is because the essential oils industry is unregulated, the phrase “best essential oils brand” is very subjective. That means that companies can slap the words “therapeutic” and “pure” on their bottles without having testing or proof to back it up.
In this article, I will rate and review Lagunamoon essential oils on a scale of A+-F based on price, quality, and selection. To learn more about our rating scale, go here.
Before we dive into Lagunamoon essential oils, let me ask you a question. What are your goals with essential oils? Do you wish to use them for their therapeutic benefits or solely for their natural scent? This is important to have in mind before deciding on a brand.
If you want to use them for colds, headaches, worry, or warts, then a high-quality brand you can trust is going to be the best choice for you. On the other hand, if you just want to diffuse some oils during the day and nothing else, then a cheaper, not-so-pure brand may be a better choice.
Now that you have your goal in mind let’s look at Lagunamoon essential oils!
The Basics: Who is Lagunamoon Essential Oils?
Lagunamoon was established in 2011. They offer essential oils, bath bombs, nail polish, and other personal care products crafted with natural and vegan ingredients. They hope to provide consumers with healthy, fun, and chic personal care routine products. On their website’s about page, they don’t note where exactly they are based, but customers have the option to shop in dollars, euros, or pounds. Let’s look a little closer at the price.
Lagunamoon’s essential oils are extremely cheap. They offer 150mL bottles for a lower price than what an average 15mL bottle would cost from a high-quality company. They also have a gift set option for 20 oils 10mL each for only $32.99! Something interesting that I noticed about Lagunamoon’s prices is that they are all the same across the board for different oils. This is a red flag because oils like frankincense should have a way higher price point than lavender or any of the other oils below. The fact that they are all the same price makes me question the authenticity of the oil.
Lavender: $7.50 for 15mL*
Peppermint: $7.50 for 15mL*
Lemon: $7.50 for 15mL*
*Lagunamoon does not offer oils in 15mL; they offer them in 10 or 30mL. 30mL oils are around $7.90, so it would make sense to opt for the bigger bottle if you choose to go with Lagunamoon. I converted pricing to a 15mL bottle for sake of comparison to other brands we review.
Lagunamoon offers different kits and oils sets for things like mind acuity, most popular oils, happy weekend, travel bags, and more. This is fun for anyone looking to gift oils or get the most popular oils for an extremely low price.
They also offer single options in some popular oils like tea tree, patchouli, rosemary, bergamot, eucalyptus, thyme, and even myrrh. They have the selection for someone who wants to make oils a lifestyle, but do they have the quality?
Lagunamoon holds vegan, USDA organic, and GMP certifications. While none of their oils are organic, they do note that their oils are GC/MS gas chromatography-mass spectrometry tested and made without fillers. Yet, while their bottles are labeled “100% pure,” they do call their oils “aromatherapy essential oils,” which means that they recommend aromatic use only. If you want to use oils topically or internally, this brand will not be for you.
Lagunamoon Essential Oils Rating
I’m rating Lagunamoon a C on our scale, meaning they’re average: not the best, not the worst. There are substantial ways that Lagunamoon can improve in quality. While these oils are great for their aromatic use, I would not recommend them to anyone looking for therapeutic benefits because you likely won’t get the results you’re looking for.
