Brand Review: Nature’s Truth Essential Oils

Hunting for the best essential oils brand is tough work. It’s overwhelming and sometimes leaves you feeling like you wish you never started. The internet is overflowing with big essential oil companies and blog posts. All with an opinion on where the best place to buy essential oils is. But because the essential oil market is unregulated the phrase, “best essential oil company” doesn’t mean much.

You can find essential oils almost everywhere these days from grocery stores to gas stations to online. The resurgence of natural remedies for common ailments like low energy, poor immune system, and anxiety has put essential oils at the front. 

Most likely, you’ve landed on this article because you’re on a mission to find your perfect essential oil brand and maybe you’ve heard about Nature’s Truth Aromatherapy and want an objective opinion. 

In this article, I’m going to review and rate Nature’s Truth Aromatherapy on a scale of A+-F based on price, quality, and selection. Check out our rating scale specifics here. By the end of this post you’ll know if Nature’s Truth is the brand for you. 

When looking for the best essential oil company for you, it’s critical that you have a clear goal in mind. Do you want to use essential oils to make your laundry or house smell good? Or do you want essential oils for their therapeutic benefits? 

If you’re looking to mix up some DIY cleaning recipes, then a not-so-pure brand who’s pricing falls on the lower end is not the worst idea. But, if you want therapeutic benefits than you need  a high-quality essential oil brand you can trust. Now that you have a clear goal in mind, let’s get into it. 

The Basics: Who is Nature’s Truth? 

Nature’s Truth is a large brand selling many health and wellness products. They have a big vitamin line (Nature’s Truth Vitamins) and an essential oils line (Nature’s Truth Aromatherapy) as well. The interesting thing is they don’t sell their products on their own website – instead, you find them at places like Walgreens, Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Amazon.

Price

Nature’s Truth essential oils de nitely fall on the low/cheap side of the price spectrum – especially their frankincense, which may be too low.

*Since Nature’s Truth does not sell their essential oils from their website like most essential oil companies do, these prices were based on two different third-party retailers, Amazon and Target. Both had the exact same pricing structure.

Selection

Nature’s Truth has a small to moderate selection – about 16 15-mL singles, 12 blends, plus some rollerballs and mist sprays. For the most part, it’s everything you’d expect to find in a line of this size, and it’s not for anyone who loves specialty oils or wants to make essential oil use a lifestyle. For that, you probably need more options. Their larger o ering of blends may be intriguing for someone who wants some multi-use essential oils without any hassle – they have everything from “Good Nite” and “Energy” to “Breathe Easy” and “Mental Clarity.”

Quality

Nature’s Truth does a few things right when it comes to quality. First o , they actually have a page dedicated to explaining their quality prac ces. While they discuss their GS-MS testing and their manufacturing prac ces, they don’t go as nearly in depth as I’d like to see. They don’t have FTIR, Specific Gravity, or Refractive Index mentioned. These are some bare minimum tests that should be included in a good quality sec on. They also don’t give us clear information on where each oil is sourced. Overall, their website gives far more informa on on how to use essential oils than how they are made. I can Google use ideas any time, so what I’m wanting is brand quality info.

Nature’s Truth Rating 

Bottom Line: Nature’s Truth Aromatherapy may be just that… aromatherapy. There’s not quite enough quality information presented to hold a firm belief that they’re good for more therapeutic uses. To be fair, they never claim to be a company providing ingestible essential oils.

We’re rating them a C on our scale which means they are average. Nature’s Truth Aromatherapy falls in the middle of the pack. Not the best and not the worst. Often there are substantial opportunities to improve in ne or more areas. These oils are typically best used for their aroma or what I call “smell good” oils. Use for therapeutic benefit likely won’t get results you are happy with.
