Before we get into it, it’s important that you have a clear goal in mind. Are you looking to use essential oils for simple DIY cleaning recipes or smell good solutions? OR do you want the therapeutic benefits?

If all you want to do is make cleaning recipes or make your house smell inviting, then opting for a cheaper, maybe not-so-pure brand is not the worst idea for your wallet. If you want to boost mood, energy and get rid of your little one’s wart, then you need a high-quality brand you can trust.

So now that you have your goal figured out, let’s get into our brand review of Ananda Apothecary essential oils.

The Basics: Who is Ananda Apothecary?

Ananda Apothecary is a growing essential oils company based out of Boulder, Colorado, and they seem to be gaining popularity lately. This is not a wide range wellness brand – when you shop with Ananda, you’re shopping for oils. But it’s the specializing that may be really helping their cause.

On their site, they clearly state their mission upfront: to help every being in the world reach their Bliss. That’s a hefty mission. At Ananda, it seems like they really focus on the holistic aspect of essential oils, and want their customers to reclaim their health and feel good again!

Because they focus mostly on the therapeutic benefits of essential oils, right off the bat, I’m assuming they take pride in their quality. But we will see. The reviews on their site rave about the brand saying that they have never been disappointed with the results and that their customer service is out of this world! So far so good, but let’s dive into the nitty gritty: price, selection, and quality.

Price

The Ananda essential oils fall somewhere in between moderately priced and higher priced oils, so it’s not the best op on for those looking for the most affordable brands. However, when we get to the selection and quality sections, you may be surprised that they are as low as they are.

Lavender $15.09 for 15 mL*

Frankincense $43.19 for 15 mL

Peppermint $22.52 (Bulgaria) $15.92 (India)

*Ananda Apothecary does not have 15 mL bottles – these are converted numbers based upon the prices of their 10 mL bottles.

Selection

One word: huge. You are going to nd so many single oil varieties, and then you’re going to find multiple types of those single oil varieties. For example, they also offer something called CO2 oils which are produced at very low temperatures to preserve the therapeutic qualities. Then there are lots of blends from “Get Smart Blend” to “Healthy Hair Blend.”

One interesting thing that sets Ananda Apothecary apart from most other essential oils brands is the fact that they also sell CBD oils, cannabis oils that do not get you high, but offer therapeutic benefits. They combine the CBD with essential oils to make blends for all different problems – like CBD DeFlame with turmeric and ginger essential oils. They seem to be ahead of the game. And this is pretty exciting- because CBD can be derived from not only the marijuana plant but also the hemp plant, which is something that many people don’t know. CBD won’t make you high but it will work with the endocannabinoid system that every human has- to nourish and heal.

Quality

By far – Ananda essential oils have some of the most up-front quality information among all of the best essential oil brands. I love that you can quickly and easily download their certificate of analysis which includes details on their comprehensive tes ng: GC-MS, refractive index, specific gravity, and much more. This makes Ananda Apothecary one of the most transparent, reputable essential oil companies. Then they have helpful info like country of origin, distillation method, and even cultivation information.

Ananda Apothecary Essential Oils Rating

Bottom Line: There’s nothing for me to complain about when it comes to the Ananda Apothecary price, selection, or quality – and online reviews mirror that sentiment, most are extremely positive. Everything about this brand is really encouraging.

I’m giving Ananda Apothecary an A rating for really great value and quality. These oils are ideal for therapeutic benefits and for those who want to use essential oils as a lifestyle. While Ananda Apothecary may not offer some of the nuances and perks of higher-rated companies, it still scores fantastic on our rating scale.
