When you’re a high performer, getting sidelined by a cold or flu can completely disrupt your energy, productivity, and momentum. That’s why I’m  intentional about the wellness habits and healthy routines that support health for everyone in my household before cold and flu season gets into full swing.

In this episode of High Bandwidth, I’m sharing the foundational habits I rely on most, along with some seasonal staples that I keep at home for when someone inevitably starts coughing, sneezing, or feeling run down. My approach to high performer wellness is simple: focus on the basics to do the heavy lifting, then have a few strategic tools ready when you need extra support.

To live an ambitious life without burnout, I’m taking care of my foundational habits first so I can keep showing up for the people and priorities that matter most.

What protects my and my family best during cold and flu season are the unsexy habits like getting enough sleep, eating nourishing whole foods, exercising regularly, staying hydrated, and having a reliable way to decompress from daily stress. These healthy routines are foundational for sustainable wellness, especially when you’re balancing a full life and don’t have time to be taken out by every virus that comes around.

To ensure that I can stay at my peak performance, I also have some backups on hand if sickness starts making its way through our house. These include bone broth, fresh ginger and turmeric, Throat Coat tea, a vitamin D supplement, essential oils, and the secret weapon in my arsenal: a herbal tincture called The Killer Blend.

In this episode, we’ll cover:

  • Daily wellness habits I prioritize for immune system support and sustainable energy
  • Why sleep, nutrition, exercise, hydration, and stress relief are essential healthy routines
  • Natural wellness tools I keep stocked during cold and flu season
  • Why having simple systems in place can help high performers protect their energy and avoid unnecessary downtime

I don’t believe sustainable wellness needs to be complicated. The goal is to build healthy routines that support your body consistently, while keeping a few simple tools on hand for the seasons when you need a little extra support.
