Brand Review: Florhiana Essential Oils

Are you on the hunt for the best essential oil brand for YOU? I’m so glad you landed here. Searching for your perfect essential oil brand can be an overwhelming task. From all the subjective (and long) blog posts to big company opinions – it’s hard to know which way to go. In this article, I’m giving you an objective review and rating of Florihana Essential Oils. By the end of this article, you will know if Florihana is the right brand for you. But first, we have some things to discuss. 

First, it’s important to talk about the resurgence of natural remedies for things like common colds, sleep ailments, and low energy. And with natural remedies becoming the “go-to”, essential oils are on the front lines. There’s also been a shift in lifestyle. People nowadays are looking to go natural, eco-friendly, and healthy. And that is exactly what essential oils do. 

Which brings me to my next point, before choosing your perfect essential oil brand, ask yourself what your goal for essential oils is. Nailing down a specific goal will help with your decision. 

Are you looking to make essential oils a lifestyle? Do you want to get rid of toe fungus, balance mood, increase energy, and sleep better? Then you need an essential oil brand that offers high quality oils with testing results. 

Or are you just interested in making your home smell inviting and your laundry smell like lavender fields? If this is the case, then a not-so-pure brand with a cheaper price tag wouldn’t be the worst idea. 

So now that you have your goal in mind, let’s dive in. I’m going to review and rate Florhihana essential oils on a scale from A+ to F based on price, quality, and selection. To learn more about the rating scale, go here. 

The Basics: Who is Florihana?

Florihana is actually an international company based in France, but you can purchase your essential oils from the Florihana USA website that’s translated to English. This is a mostly organic company that uses its own laboratory and distillery to produce its products. They have a huge focus on their employee know-how and quality. The website is modern and easy to navigate.

Price

The prices of Florihana essential oils land somewhere in the middle. They’re definitely not cheap, but they are more inexpensive than some other essential oil brands with similar quality standards:

Lavender

$12.94 for 15 mL 

Frankincense 

$26.04 for 15 mL

Peppermint

$12.16 for 15 mL

Note: Their bottles are not exactly 15 mL, as they are measured in grams. For an apples-to-apples comparison with the other brands, I did the math to find the cost for 15 mL. This means the actual bottles you would buy will be both a little bigger and a little more expensive.

Selection

Short answer: huge number of singles. You can find just about any single essential oil you could want. In fact, they even have a few different versions of some oils (for example: lavender spike, lavender stoechas, lavender vera, and lavender vera wild). However, this is not a blend-friendly essential oils brand. You’re going to have to make your blends yourself. If that doesn’t bother you, you can conveniently purchase an empty oil bottle from them.

Quality

If you want up-front quality reports, Florihana delivers more information than you’d probably ever need. When you click on each oil, you will learn the botanical name, country of origin, extraction process, and organic certification. You can then click to download fact sheets on testing, hazards, technical data, chromatography, essential oil density, and IRFA certification. All information is written in French, but translated into English on the side.

As a company, they pride themselves on running their own distillery with quality control and innovative technology that improves extraction, includes software that offers a traceability guarantee, and engraves guarantees of origin on their bottle for quality assurance. It’s all quite impressive.

Florihana Rating 

Bottom Line: Everything a company needs to be a great essential oil provider is all here – and I’m honestly super impressed by their wide range of transparency and information. However, if you are a die-hard blend fan, you may be a tad disappointed with Florihana essential oils.

That being said, I am rating Florihana an A+.  A+ means Out of this world value, quality and experience for customers. Ideal for using essential oils for therapeutic benefit and for those that want to make essential oils use a lifestyle. These companies often go above and beyond in customer experience as well.
