Pan Fried Asparagus Fries


Ingredients

  • 1/2 bundle asparagus spears ⠀
  • 1/4 cup almond flour⠀
  • 1 egg⠀
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in frying pan on medium heat ⠀
  2. Wash asparagus spears and cut off tougher bottoms (about two inches)⠀
  3. Pat dry and place on clean plate⠀
  4. Crack egg onto another plate and whisk with fork⠀
  5. Pour almond flour onto a clean plate (you can add any other seasonings you want to this to keep it from being bland – we add sea salt and then dip it into a garlic aioli mayonnaise base dip for extra fats and flavor)⠀
  6. Dredge asparagus spear through egg and then roll in almond flour mixture, place on a clean plate⠀
  7. Once all spears are covered and oil is hot in pan, place spears in the pan (it’ll sizzle if it’s the right temp… if it’s smoking or popping it’s too hot)⠀
  8. Cook until lightly brown and then flip and cook until lightly brown on the other side as well. ⠀
  9. Once done, enjoy!!! ⠀
